Heylo
VEA Group plant roof with solar panels, Chignolo d'Isola

Built by people who have made coffee machines for more than a century.

What Heylo is

Heylo is applied coffee technology, built on induction.

Designed for the people who run bars professionally.

We turn engineering into systems that perform under real service conditions. Not in ideal lab setups, not on demo days. Across full service shifts, peak hours, staff changes, and every milk type on the menu.

Heylo is VEA Group's induction technology.

VEA Group is an Italian, family-owned maker of professional coffee machines. It has built them since 1919 under the Carimali brand and since 1947 under Elektra, and today employs around 130 people, with its headquarters and plant at Chignolo d'Isola, near Bergamo.

Heylo was developed inside that group: on its production lines, against its production constraints, and with its service organisation behind it. It was never developed in isolation from either.

Why induction

It started with a kitchen hob.

Heylo started in 2019 with a household induction hob on a workbench and was first shown at Host Milano that year. The first product was an espresso unit; milk came next.

Induction heats only while a drink is being made. That is why every Heylo unit runs without a boiler, and why the story of the technology is told on its own page.

How induction works

Since 2019, three principles

The work has always been iterative.

Applying induction to professional coffee service is an ongoing process. Every deployment teaches something.

Years in, we're still learning. That is exactly the point.

Real conditions, not lab setups.

How induction behaves at peak hours, across staff changes, across every milk type. That knowledge compounds. A system tested only in controlled conditions is not a system you can depend on.

The answer gets sharper every time.

What we build today reflects years of that work. Not a shortcut past it.

Every iteration has made the next one more precise. The process never stops, the output keeps improving.

Made in Chignolo d'Isola

Assembled where the group builds its machines.

Heylo units are assembled at VEA Group's plant in Chignolo d'Isola, near Bergamo, on the same floor as the group's other machines.

The plant has run a 160 kWp solar array since 2024 and the group has reported on its footprint every year since 2023. VEA Group holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and PAS 24000, the UNI/PdR 125:2022 gender-parity certification, and an EcoVadis bronze rating.

The machine draws less. So does the plant that builds it.

After the sale

Sold and serviced by the group.

Heylo is sold through the VEA Group team and its partners. Spare parts and service run through the group's service organisation and its customer portal, the same one that serves every VEA Group machine.

Services & Support

A note from the founder

The company I run has built coffee machines for more than a century, and for most of that time the way we heated water barely changed. Heylo began in 2019 with a household induction hob on a workbench and a simple question: what if a machine only heated what it was about to pour?

Getting induction to behave with water and milk, under pressure, at peak hour, took years and a great deal of listening to the people who run bars. That is still how we work: in real service, not on demo days.

We sell Heylo through the same team and partners who service every VEA Group machine, because a machine is a ten-year decision, not a launch.

Milk is where induction proved itself.

HeyMilky is where that work became a product the bar can depend on.
